Joy had worked in multinational pharmaceutical companies for 16 + years including Aventis, Sanofi-Aventis, Wyeth Research and Pfizer as well as biotech company Terns, SciNeuro and Hepagene where she oversaw the entire clinical development team in China.

Joy has thorough understanding of drug development throughout various developmental stages. being an expert in clinical strategy, trial design and clinical operation tailored to local regulatory requirement and local medical practice in China.

She worked in Hematology Department of Shanghai Xin Hua Hospital affiliate to School of Medicine of Shanghai Jiao Tong University for 9 years as before joining industry. As Chief Operation Officer, she led the build of Clinical Research Unit for Shanghai Xin Hua Hospital, the first institution based clinical research platform in Shanghai, now becomes one of the Top sites in Shanghai.

Joy graduated from Wuhan Tongji Medical School with Clinical Medicine degree, received her master degree from Shanghai Second Medical University, majored in Gastroenterology. And received her Ph.D in 2022 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medical in Pediatric Cardiovascular.
